Managing non-surgical periodontology during the Covid-19 crisis

Prof. Magda Mensi

Can you get infected in the dental office? What protective devices should I have? How should I change the way I work? Will I be able to resume professional oral hygiene? How should I speak to patients and my staff?

The following topics will be addressed: virus transmission pathways within the dental practice, how to protect clinicians, staff and patients from possible contagion, how to change work strategies, how to reintroduce non-surgical periodontal treatments by adapting protocols, such as aerosol containment, how to reassure patients and how to prepare for re-entry. From scientific evidence to clinical practice. There will be discussion around future prospects and the use of serological and molecular tests as well as a large section for questions and answers without the pretense of giving definitive guidelines but sharing current knowledge.

Release date: Friday 24th April, 2020, 05:00 PM
